What happens to reported answers to a reported question?

I have had a few answers get flagged then while waiting for a reply the question becomes flagged (under review).

Does that mean those 10 pts are lost for good because I got baited to answer to only have someone (most likely the questioner) to flag answers then to dispensary?

Does the answer get reviewed even if the question is removed?

Thanks

Update:

Disappear, not dispensary, darn auto-correct.

Update 2:

Voted best for most thumbs up.

If Yahoo gets around to looking at your appeal, they will review reported answers from a deleted question the same as any other appeal. They can still see what the deleted question was so they can better evaluate the answer.

Unfortunately, it seems more often than not appeals are ignored, no matter what sort of question or answer is being appealed. Which to my mind makes a travesty of the whole appeal system.

In the past, I have won appeals when answering some silly chat violations. My answer was restored and appeared, along with the question, on my Q/A profile. However, when I click on the question, I get the message that it was been removed. So yes, you can still win an appeal when the question itself is also reported.

    For example:

Question: "What's your favorite season of the year?" [Chat violation]

Reported Answer: "My favorite season is summertime because I enjoy gardening and the outdoor activities."

Some trusted reporters would consider any answer to a chat violation to also be a violation by default. However, the Yahoo Answers Team does not agree with that interpretation of the rules here.
