I want to start modeling. Im 5.8, 110 pounds and I ve been told I should consider modeling. I am not sure how to start or if I have a chance?

It is very simple.

If you are 5' 9" (hopefully taller) and almost exactly 34-24-34, then go to a few legit agency websites (see a link for a decent one in NYC, below) and follow the applications instructions.

You have to live in or near a major city, because that’s where the work and agencies are, and you need to be available immediately for any opportunities. Most teen models are home-schooled for this reason.

If you are not 5' 9" (hopefully taller) and almost exactly 34-24-34, don't bother; no agency will even give you a look.

DO NOT pay for portfolio pictures. No agency wants them or will even look a them.

DO NOT pay for modeling school or lessons. All are a complete waste of time and money.

DO NOT believe anyone who tells you that you that anyone can be a model if they just follow their dreams.

Paint your own toe-nails as opposed to sitting for a pedicure.

Host a party—the cleaning and prep work could keep you off the couch.

Play Frisbee with your kids.

Place your stapler far enough away that you must stand up to get the item.
