what would you do? if you were in my shoes?

So for the next 2.5moths my little sister(Dylan- 13)is living with me(I'm a 27 year old guy) because our parents are abroad and it past 3weeks

This morning I tried to wake her up at 7 a.m. for school,it's came to the point where it was 7:30 and she wasn't out of bed yet!I went up to her room one more time and I said that she has to wake up so she told me "I'm is not going to school" I was so pissed that I slapped her in the face her eyes immediately opened and she slapped me back! I was so pissed by that point that I went downstairs took my keys and locked her in the house!

when she called me at 10 A.M she was shouting at me and not apologizing Her first words were are a ******* idiot?I told her that she needs to learn how to behave/speak to me and I hung up on her! I came home at7:30 and she was NOT home! I started calling her friends and nobody knew where she was! I told myself that I will wait until 9! and I will call the police! at 8:40 she came home! she walked past me like I was not there! And she started walking up stairs

Me:"stop right there young lady and get your butt over here!"

Dylan:"shut up I don't care about your opinion" Me:"it's not an opinion you have to do it!and look at me when I'm talking to you"

Dylan:"shut the F up I don't care! Bye!" she continued walking up the stairs!and I went after her and I swing the door open! I told her to give me her Electronics but she refuses to give me them!I tried shouting, talking ,everything but she acts like a brat.

lock the wifi (change the password and dont give it to her)

Its possible that she's just stressed. You should call up your parents to "check" on them and while you're at it, tell them how she's behaving and ask if that's normal. They should know how to handle her.

Just leave her alone except when she needs to listen (like for school).

Remember, it's your house. You can do what you want. Bang pots to wake her up. Shut off the electricity when she wont get off the computer or something.

If you think she's a good girl but is just acitng bad, shes probably mad about something. Ask her what she wants to do or what she normally does at home. Don't leave her in her room the whole day because that's not healthy for a young teen. Good luck with her. I think the longer she stays, the more she will get used to your rules.

If I were in your place I'd never do the stuff you do. She's 13 for god's sake and you are her brother, not her mom or dad. You think she will listen to you if you slap her in the face or yell at her? No, she will get mad at you, and do what she actually says. She won't care, she will hate you. Now, for her to listen. instead of yelling try asking nicely. Not just politely. Make your tone of voice nice, ask her once. Ask her again. Tell her why. Never ever slap her, she is not acting like a brat. She is acting like a teenager. while you are acting like an obsessive brother. Instead of focusing only on her, take a look at your actions. Would you like it if your parents came in your room told you to get up, and then sslap you? No, okay then. Insttead of askin people "What would you do if you were me?" ask YOURSELF "What would I do if I was HER?".

sorry but i think you kinda made it really hard on yourself by slapping a thirteen year old in the face... she's gonna be angry at you for a while. maybe if you genuinely apologize and give her a few days to calm down she might come around but tbh while yes she's acting like a brat it's not totally unjustified..
