Because when you look at it this way, Russia backs Assad. What do we do? We could /also/ back Assad who violates human rights /or/ fight Assad, Jeopardizing US-Russia relations in a tension of war.

Syrians have a mess because they have two oppressive forces, ISIS and Assad. Russia's doing nothing to improve the condition of a country, just to control it.

Then we'd have to get the UK and the rest of NATO involved in the middle east as Russia makes its next move. I'm sure he and President Jinping would pull something off.

Russia is dangerous because any attack on them would just cause WW3/end with nuclear fallout.

The U.S. should not do what they want. They always kill too many people and dont achieve anything and spend trillions of dollars.

Russia has legitimate reasons to be there and they have a plan to stop ISIL from taking over Syria. The U.S. is not in charge but they think no other country should be.

Putin got authorization from the Duma to use force in Syria, like George Bush got it in 2003 against Iraq.

The only reason the U.S. does what it wants is because it is a powerful military. They have no right to tell Russia what to do, either in Syria or in the Ukraine.

Because America dominates the region via it's puppet regimes: Saudi regime, UAE regime, Kuwaiti regime, Egyptian regime, Israeli regime, Bahraini regime, Omani regime, etc... The only nations in the Middle East who oppose this American domination of the region are Iran, Hezbollah and Assad. This is why these three are so vilified, despite our Saudi 'allies' being far more religiously fanatical and the Egyptian 'allies' slaughtering their own people. In a nutshell, Russia coming to aid those who oppose American domination of the region is against America's interest.

ISIS is an American and Israeli engineered terrorist, so now that Russia is involving itself in the conflict, it creates a problem for America and Israel because their secret may and should get exposed.
