What sensor can make my 2011 chevy hhr idle rough at times?

The sensor shows as an engine on the dash. It was checked twice and gave a reading of low oil two times. The oil was checked and showed full on the measuring stick. The mechanic said it gives a false reading and not worry about it. Now when the light is on at times the hhr gives like a pulsating motion when I am stuck in traffic. After hitting the accelerator the car zips along with no problem.

Not to worry about it????? Need to change mechanics since that one is an idiot & has no clue on how to fix it

GM doesnt put sensors on a car just to give false readings, means there is a problem some where. He is just to stupid to figure it out, take to dealership or repair shop

After some research, I think it is the o2 sensor.
