Cellphone that records conversations - exists or not?
I think it's an excellent idea (of mine) to manufacture cellular mobile telephones that have an option to record a conversation between a cellphone owner and a caller or the called party. In countries where it is mandatory to notify the other party that their conversation with you is recorded, an automatic recording notice could sound as soon as conversation recorder is engaged, such as: "Your conversation is now in the recording mode".
Record abuse, spam, annoying callers, threats of violence, mother's instructions for the day etc.
To Sprite: I am talking about recording the entire or part of the conversation (not duration, not just who talked to who) by the cellphone owner and not some illegal government scum. It means the owner of the cellphone decides to record or not and for how long to record. In free world (if such exists!) this should be a great tool.

Exists; most cellphones can record. In fact, there are domestic violence apps which will notify the police AND start videotaping and recording audio from the moment the call is made until it is shut off by the police.
For evidence in court cases.

Depends. Every text you send and receive is recorded and stored. As far as I know, (without a wire tap), actual phone conversations themselves are not recorded, but the duration of the call and who you talked to are recorded by Verizon or whoever your carrier is.

Literally any smart phone you want can do that. If you have an Iphone, "Call Recorder" is probably the biggest app for that purpose.
