Boxing: Current paper title holders?

You are NOT the Champion unless you hold the lineal title. But alot of fighters are paper title holders who got gifts or handed a title shot who are they?

IMO

Adrien Broner-coming off a loss gets a title shot against a bum, only in America.

Daniel Jacobs- He's a secondary title holder the WBA "regular" title holder. The WBA is disgusting. Top of that he beat a bum for his belt.

Deontay Wilder-Had he kept fighting actual contenders after beating stiverne, he'd be legit instead he's still heavily protected no question. Word is he wants another tuneup in december #thankAlhaymon

The WBA seriously needs to quit handing out titles and having two title holders in one division. A super champ and regular wtf is that

This is the nature of the beast. Its not just American fighters, Haymon fighters or WBA champions (by the way, Wilder holds the WBC).

Were we crying when Pacquiao got his first 147 title by fighting a Cotto who got smashed up by Clottey and only got the decision because it was in NYC on Puerto Rican day and Arum needed the win to make a big fight of Cotto and Pacquiao which would be fought below 147 (catchweight in favor of Pacquiao) a weight Cotto had not fought under in 5 years, for his title.

Broner did get this title shot because Haymon I think but he isn't the only one. Lomanchenko got to fight Russell Jr for his title after losing to Salido in their title bout.

Jacobs deserves credit for now fighting undefeated former champion Peter Quillin for a title defense.

And Deontay deserve credit because he is learning on the job. He had very little amateur experience.

This is just like Andre Ward. He was brought along slowly but when he got his shot at bigger, better fighters he dominated them all.
