If the domain of f(x) = 2x + 1 is {-2 ≤ x ≤ 3}, what is the range?

    Clearly f(x) is a line, so find the corresponding y values at the extremes of the domain (in other words, find f(-2) and f(3), and use them as the extremes of the range).

    range: f(-2) =<f(x)=<f(3)

    or -3 =< f(x) =< 7
