Another Harry Potter question?

There is no way for Harry to have been killed by Voldemort with his mother's protection on him. And Voldemort knew that he had to be the one to kill him. But if coincidentally Harry died from some other cause, that would mean that the prophecy would not have been fulfilled. Neville never had the capability that Harry did. Voldemort chose Harry that night when he killed the Potters. Neville would've been of no use to Dumbledore. Dumbledore would've just had to continue to hunt the horcruxes himself and perhaps pass on the responsibility to Severus. But this is a very open ended 'what if' question, so there'd be no doubt that there could be more than one answer. I am very passionate about HP. I hope this helped ^_^

Dumbledore would have had to find the other horcruxes. He would have to have help from everyone in that secret society. He'd have to work fast too because of the curse he incurred getting Voldemort's mother's ring. Snape said he only had a year to live.

Neville Longbottom also matched the prophecy.
