Why won't a tracfone send or receive text? It's an LG smart phone.?
My friend's phone won't send or receive text messages. There is plenty of signal (bars). When I send him a text I get a failed message. When he sends one he gets a brief message that says the service blocked. So what is the cause of this? Anyone?

Android Tracfone: phone must be activated, must have service days, must have a Texts balance (not minutes), if there's an attachment must have a data balance, Cell Data turned on, must have a signal
Non-smart Tracfone: phone must be activated, must have service days, must have a minutes balance, if there's an attachment must have Cell Data turned on, must have a signal
If that is all correct, then she should call Tracfone ON A DIFFERENT PHONE to work out the problem. They may ask her to enter codes in her Tracfone while she is listening on the other phone.
