Is there a fallout game from the late 80's?

As said, in 1988 a game called Wasteland was released. When the developers wanted to bring out a sequel a long time later, they no longer had the rights to the Wasteland name and could not obtain them. So they brought out a similar game and named it Fallout, but since they had to change a lot of other things (as they did not own any part of the Wasteland IP) it kinda ceased to be a true sequel following on from the events of Wasteland, and turned into a 'spiritual sequel', as they say, thematically similar, but its own story and setting.

Yep, its called wasteland, released in 1988. Look it up on wikipedia for more info though l, I don't know much else about it without copy and pasting it lol.
