How do I get an explanation for my "reported and deleted question"?

I appealed and the only explanation was that it violates our TOS.

I would like to know, so I can avoid future problems.

It's possibly because I wasn't familiar with this odd new format. I posted a question and hit submit. Then it asked for an answer, which was odd. Then there was a system error. I had no idea the question was posted without details.

Not sure what you mean by "odd new format", as the Desktop site has not changed significantly in a while.

To add details to a question, you much click "Details" BEFORE you click submit.

If you are on a mobile device, that may be the issue, as they have had problems with the updates to that part of the code lately. Try changing to Desktop mode if that is the issue.

Anybody can now post an answer to their own questions. They don't get points for it, and they may end up getting a violation if they post additional details there, rather than an actual answer. Even answering your own question, you have to post an answer, not just comments or details.

Finally - you can't get an explanation from staff as to the exact nature of the violation.

The most you can do is post the exact wording HERE and ask why it might have been reported.

If you didn't add details to the question, it is possible that the base question wasn't comprehensible without those, and therefore was deemed to be a violation due to that problem.

If your question is reported, appealed and denied, you are not gonna get an explanation or comforting.

It's a process that takes place and you have 2 outcomes. In your favor and not in your favor.

Read the ToS and the CG's and make sure your posts fall within these guidelines and you will almost never have any problems.

If, on the other hand, you want to play games, and gossip and inflame, you're gonna get reported, and it's gonna go against you.

There's really not much gray area.

People post this kind of question all the time, but almost all of them just happen to leave out the post or question that was reported. You have done exactly the same.

So, how can we REALLY counsel you if you don't provide any information or data?

    Answer: we can't

So, 6this tells a lot of us 'experts' that you troll and spam and post inflammatory questions that get reported for a reason. That is the only assumption one can come to. If that is unsavory to you, then consider not breaking Yahoo rules, or providing valid, legitimate data in these kinds of posts.

    Best of luck to you

    Here is my deleted question:

"Have you had a Black Halloween Whopper?"

I was going to add more details, but it evidently went through this way. Even so, it's similar to other questions here.

Yes it may be seen as chat, (or possibly racist/vulgar), but still, I think a little explanation would help.

Sometimes members here who are unfamiliar with the new layout post "questions" that are actually topics or statements. For example:

"I have a really hard math problem.?" [With no additional details added]

Sometimes those questions get reported for misuse of the required Q/A format. If you tell us exactly what you asked, you could get a better answer.
