Feeling guilty about masturbation?

Is masturbation normal? Absolutely. Is feeling guilty about it normal? Not really. It's perfectly natural and healthy and the only reason you feel bad is because you have some misguided notion that sexuality is somehow bad and wrong. It isn't. I do not consider it a sin.

Don't feel guilty about it. It's perfectly normal and natural. In fact, there would be something pretty wrong if you haven't masturbated at all. Not a sin in my eyes :)

The Bible does not specifically mention masturbation, the deliberate self-stimulation that produces sexual arousal and orgasm.

Although the term “masturbation” does not occur in the Bible, can there be any doubt that it is a mentally and emotionally defiling practice? Would not continued defilement of this sort seriously damage one’s personal relationship with God and make one unclean in God’s sight?

sexual offenses such as premarital sex (fornication), homosexuality, adultery, and bestiality are plainly condemned as gross sins in the Bible, masturbation is not mentioned.

No need to feel guilty about masturbating, its normal, healthy and enjoyable. It will do you no harm, everybody does it. I personally get a lot of pleasure from masturbating.

If masturbation was a sin, I would have spontaneously combusted into flames years ago from the amount of times I've done it. The shame you feel is probably from organized religion and societal pressure.

Yes, masturbation is a sin. It is a work of the flesh. The Bible says to deaden our body members as respects fornication. Remember that God and an angel is watching you, writing down what you do in a book for judgment day. So repent of wilful sinning, dedicate your life to God. Get baptized and serve God through Jesus Christ and endure to the end in good deeds and faithfulness. Best wishes,..

Don't feel bad about masturbation, there is absolutely nothing bad about it.

many people have issue with LUST. Whether they be believers or non believers

Problem is many refuse to address those desires and feelings, because they are taught to never talk about such things.

Many young people who with their whole heart have tried to live for the Lord have been duped by the do not acknowledge your desires ideology, so much so they are taught they need to marry to do it "legally-correctly-and biblical"

Problem is they are taught no further and so many marry people who are not Godly and not mature enough to be in a Real relationship and a marriage. They want to Fulfill those desires and the Lust that goes with it....and when Real life and those feelings can not make a relationship work....it ends in divorce...where afterwards feeling lost and betrayed and yet having those desires even stronger...end up leaving the believe and church and religion and out and about...some getting in even worse relationships and many just chase about.....

masturbation is the same..Every man-woman has desires and lusts. the Body wants to be fulfilled....sex feels good...everyone says it is natural to have a sexual release, yes it is, BUT it is to be done with your mate .

That is why it says every man is to have his own wife and every woman to have her own husband..BUT you can not base that marriage/relationship on sex.

God set a guide to the sort of woman and or man one is to marry...and WE are Not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, nor marry before maturity and not marry without God in it.....HE has to be the foundation and the rock it is built on...NOT the Flesh.

Those who with all their heart who try and live for the Lord the best they can, often struggle with lust/sex/money/porn/material things etc etc etc...Just because you give your life to the Lord does NOT stop you from being human and having feelings and desires..BUT we are to make our bodies living sacrifices to God, it is our reasonable service.

YOU must repent, forsake the sin, avoid anything that would make those desires rise up and if you can not contain yourself, YOU need to pray for help-strength and guidance and for a mate .......If it be the Lords will for you.

BUT....know that everyone fails and makes mistakes....the wisdom must be to forsake the sin that so easily besets you...avoid it, and anything that makes it rise up.

The lord is forever making intercessions for us...He knows our infirmities and our needs..and He is not pass Knowing what we have need of.

the word states this simple fact :1 Tim 4

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

marriage is honorable and we are to marry IN THE LORD

We are to marry- and Not be forbidden....why the Catholic church has so much trouble with lustful priests .....they to have those same feelings that can overwhelm them....they to should have married....

and yet these people would rather commit whoredom and pedophilia and many worse things behind closed doors rather than admit their religion is man made and refuses to adhere to Gods Truth.

But they are not the only ones.....READ the BIBLE..the term lasciviousness is the term used in the Bible for sexual sin-it means lusts-and every definition that is associated with lusts.

Fill your mind and heart with the things of God and not the things that give you those lustful desires

Gal 5:16

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

yes it is that simple.....so much so we all miss it at some point.

If you feel so bad about masturbating then why not just have sex?

It's not a sin, but lust after someone that is a random porn star is.... if you want to masturbate just think about your future wife, use your mind, not porn, and you'll be fine
