I rent part of a two family home can my landlord take down decorations on my door?

My door faces the common area like the landlords door and the landlord always had something up to her like on MY door... The minute I put a small Jewish sign that my son colored in a coloring book she tore it Down

Landlords can prohibit exterior decorations but it must be in the lease to be enforceable. She should not have touched it though. Keep anything sentimental to you inside.

So you live in the same property as the landlord, you rent your part, so put your religious pictures in your part, not the common part of the property
