Can I wear contacts that are not my exact prescription, but similar?
my prescription is the same in both eyes and I have astigmatism
Power: -2.75 CYL: -1.25 AXIS: 180 Base Curve: 8.7 Diameter: 14.5
I'm looking for lenses for Halloween, just to wear for a couple hours for a costume contest. It's impossible to get astigmatism lenses, so I found some that seem close and was wondering if it's "ok" to wear them for a few hours. here's the prescription for them
Power: -2.75 Base Curve: 8.6 Diameter: 14.5
Any help would be great! I'm going crazy!!

Yes, it will be okay...probably , but you would be better off with - 3.25
0.50 of that astigmatism correction should be added to the sphere power.
Of course, no one can tell you for sure if they will fit well. That is impossible to know until lenses are tried on. Even when the Base Curve is identical, that doesn't guaranty a good fit.
