Most of Scotland's leading and established brands do not have the saltire anywhere near them..It will look tacky, amateurish and put you in with the nationalists, thus alienating potential non Scottish clients..

Getting the design of a corporate or company identity correct is something that you have to put some thought into..

Ask yourself, Will it transfer between mediums (Web, print, stationery and at different sizes)

Colours, will it alienate you from potential customers using certain colour schemes?

Will it be recognisable, at a distance and suitable for the industry.

Type face (fonts) are they suitable? Will it age quickly or look dated next year?

Are you admiring someone else's logo when thinking of your own?

Show it before you decide on it, gives you valuable feedback..

My opinion, hire someone who knows about these things 20yrs marketing (international and national) and design..

Q: Why do Scottish men wear kilts?

A: Because a sheep can hear a zipper from a mile away.
