As others have said a CCNA is a valuable certification. You will need a Bachelors degree in a Computer related major.
Your friend has been listening to the salesman at the certification school. You will probably make $35,000 and that will double and perhaps eventually triple over many years. 100K right away will not happen. Go out online and look up salary study for a network technician and you will see that.
Best wishes!

Did you consider googling it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCNA Your friend is optimistic but it is a good thing to have. This is a certificaation, not a degree.

It's an industry certification - not an academic degree.
