I don't see that it should make any difference. Someone is either qualified to teach or they aren't.

Hi I have been a disabled instructor for some 40 years. it makes no difference as long as the students pass the exams.

What physical sense is required of a teacher? It should make no difference if they are equally qualified. The only time there might be a benefit to having the teacher with disabilities is if the class was on social movement theory, disability studies, civil rights history or something similar, but not always even than.

I think the teacher would have to be specifically qualified. For instance, I had several teachers who happened to have disabilities. themselves. The qualified ones were able to correctly and/or safely perform their duties (this was pre-ADA--so reasonable accommodations did not apply). They knew how to perform their positions.
The apparently unqualified one either bribed somebody in HR or forged some part of her 'PE instructor records' because she was supposed to teach us about fitness while herself being grossly obese. She could not move without breaking out into a sweat herself.
