• Decomposition reactions have one reactant.
• Single replacement reactions have an element and a compound as reactants and products
• Double replacement reactions have two compounds as reactants and products.
2S + 3O2 ---> 2SO3 .... one product.... synthesis
2Na + 2H2O --->2 NaOH + H2 .... element and compound ... single replacent
2H2O2 ---> 2H2O + O2 ..... one reactant ... decomposition
CaCl2 + F2---> CaF2 + Cl2 .... element and compound .... single replacement
