When you pass kidney stones, do they come out as little black specks in your urine?

Anyone know what the little black specks might be? They're kind of like gnats.

    yes they are very small and hurt like heck.. They are not smooth like gravel they have little hooks on them and they can be most any color. Black is normal.

    Little black specks, not so much. Little pieces of gravel more like it.

    If you pass one you'll know it. It feels like someone is dragging a fish hook through your urethra. It looks like a small rock.
