What is up with Verizon s fraud department?
I bought a phone on verizon (24 month payment). The billing address (my family s address) and the shipping address (my current off campus apartment) are not the same, and I had to call the fraud department to clear the order.
They want me to send a photo copy of my SSN card, driver s license, and two utility bills for both addresses via email.
WTF??? It isn t that uncommon for people to have different billing and shipping addresses. Why is verizon treating me like a fraud????
by the way, the representative just hang up on me when I asked if that is really necessary.

This is a pain the *** for you, no doubt about that. But remember, a company like Verizon (and I think they are scum, not defending them) loses more money to fraud in a year than you will make in your entire lifetime. A very large portion of that fraud is stolen credit cards used to make purchases over the net or phone, using a secondary shipping address. The further the shipping address from the billing address, the higher the chance of fraud.
Taking your stuff to a Verizon store is the way to do it... .

I would recommend you that you should go to their customer support and file a complaint against this irrational behavior and also I recommend you to install Leo Privacy Guard in order to gain its utmost security in your android device.
