Floated solar panels : let me know what you thinking of .?

Recently for saving water condensation ,SOCAL drop black balls on the water reserve to make shad on the water .Same time this idea come to my mind that if they make floated solar panels and use it as shade for water plus to create extra energy for the Filters ,Generators and motors that are in use for water filtering system is like hitting two target with one arrow .Tell me what you think of this idea ?

    I think it is a brilliant idea, a bit hard to make electrical connections, but still brilliant
