Should I put my barrel horse on Triple Crown or Safe Choice?

I would go with Triple Crown. I don't like Nutrena feeds- they have caused horses I've known or worked with in the past to colic, sometimes with fatal results. Triple Crown feeds are less likely to cause that problem, because they are made in such a way as to prevent it from happening. Southern States is the manufacturer of both the Triple Crown and the Legends line of horse feed. We used to feed Legends to our horses, and always had really good results with that. We feed a related product called Triple 10 now, because it's cheaper. But it's still made by Southern States, and it has the same high quality standards and ingredients that the Legends did.

It depends on how much your horse is doing and what kind of work he is doing weekly. I would put my horse on Triple Crown, just because I feel like the quality of the grain is better. Purina food is fine, but I feel as if sometimes the quality is lacking. I have seen many horses drop weight quickly on Purina feed, especially if they are working consistently.

Depends on the specific feed but if you need a feed from one of those two brands that is pretty similar on both lines, I would go with Triple Crown.... The quality exceeds that of nutrena in my opinion
