Does the Israel Defense Force require a High School Diploma for joining to protect Israel?

    From what I gather, you do not need a high school diploma to serve in the IDF. At least, not for every position, since they draft Jews whether they have them or not. The law states that Jews and certain others join at 18, whether they have it or not.

    I would think that the IDF needs all the soldiers it could get, but then again it shouldn't be on their level to be that desperate or picky

    If you are applying from outside of Israel, then yes. They do not accept GEDs.

    Yes. A GED is not valid though.
