Random question…What kind of crimes would this be?

This popped in my head and it's boggling me…What kind of charges would someone get if they shot at someone, but missed and killed someone else? Would that be murder or attempted murder or what would it be?

Probably one case of attempted murder and another of unintentional man slaughter.

Felony rule. If someone dies as a result of a felony being committed, then the offender can be charged with murder.

For example, if bad guy robs a gas station, and the police come and there's a shoot out. If anyone gets killed in the shoot out, even if it was a police bullet, the bad guy can be charged with murder.
