I went to a sex store but wasn't allowed in?

I'm 18 and live in Kaufman County in Texas, and the woman who worked there said you can't enter a sex store in the county until you're 21. How does that make sense? The age of consent is 18, and drinking age is 21. Am I missing anything here? From what I could see when I looked in, there was no alcohol being sold there.

    If she says you cannot enter unless you are at least 21, then you cannot enter until you are at least 21. A storekeeper, store owner has a right to deny entry to any customer for the reason she stated.

    it could also just be store policy.
