    Maybe ...

    You just have to observe a fish when it's swimming .

    If there's bubbles appearing at their tail , they're farting .

    Coz we humans when we're in the pool , when we fart , bubbles are produced too .

    Yea my koi fish used to fart. Little bubbles came out of their butt.

    Maybe you should get the Goverment to fund such a Scientific matter. After all the did have Shrimp riding treadmills.
