About how much money should you make per hour before you move out on your own?

Is there some sort of chart or something to determine this?

this will depend on the cost of living in your area. You will need to save up for first apartment, look in the paper, if the rent is 1200.00 per month expect to pay around $4000 to get into it, most will want first and last months rent=$2400.00 then a security deposit which could be another $1200. then there will be application processing fees, also a credit check so if you don't have any credit, you won't be getting an apartment. First things first, get a good sized savings built up not just to get into the apartment but to cover things like utility deposits, unexpected charges etc,
