Garlic. Saute steamed broccoli in olive oil. Add a clove or two of minced broccoli and a little salt. Stir for 30 seconds and serve hot.

I usually steam it and eat it as is. Or mix it up with some roasted garlic.
Roasted garlic is easy to make. Wrap and entire head of garlic in tin foil with a spoon of butter or oil inside. Bake in an oven for 30 mins or so. Tastes amazing

Broccoli is slightly bitter and herbs will make it more so.
I would go with sweet spices, like ginger, cumin, fennel and anise. Maybe chilli, certainly garlic.

Garlic and a little sweet chilli sauce is nice. I blanch the Broccoli first then just toss it in a little butter and the Garlic and chilli

broccoli is so strong flavored that I really don't need much of anything with it beyond a bit of salt.

Pan fried in black pepper.
Or with red peppers and mushrooms.
Or with tomatoes and basil.

if you do a 'broccoli' cheese, add little powdered mustard in the sauce is good also add some chopped chives.
