Bissell ProHeat 2X carpet cleaner does not dispense detergent properly.?

either the detergent does not dispense at all, or it comes out too fast. Sometimes the detergent leaks onto the floor or carpet when standing upright.

    we had one of those and it always had problems with it; when the pump went out, I replaced that unit with a Hoover turbo scrub model - less cost and performs excellently !!
