I m getting my husband a puppy for his birthday! So I m trying to figure out the best way to surprise him! Help!!!?

Don't do that. Is your husband prepared to look after an animal for 10+ years? If not, getting a puppy is not such a good idea.

If your husband is ok with the idea of getting a new dog, maybe take him to an animal shelter/breeder as a surprise.

You know the best way how to surprise YOUR husband. I would be pretty surprised myself if MY wife said NO to me, and then relented.

By the way, was your initial NO just to surprise him afterwards, or you just changed your mind?

Never get a puppy as a Birthday or Christmas present for anyone. If your husband wants a puppy, then let him choose the puppy he likes and wants on his own. What if you get him a puppy and it is not the puppy he wants?

If your husband wants a puppy, then let him choose the breed and the breeder and you purchase it for him. Do not surprise him with it.
