What's your input on buying your own tanning bed instead of buying a package! Dont need to hear anything about skin cancer and Yada Yada!?

Depending on where you live and the types of salons available to you, chances are that it's going to cost way more to own your own tanning bed than it is to simply buy some minutes. First off, buying a tanning bed of similar quality to the ones you find in the salons will cost you several thousand dollars and possibly even closer to 10 grand if it's a real top of the line one. Then you also have to make sure you have the power capability in your home to support a tanning bed. A regular power grid for a home may not cut it (ie. it's going to short out your box all the time). Then you need to consider the fact that you will need to change your tanning bulbs after a certain number of hours. Tanning bulbs don't last forever, and once they get past their life span - they stop being effective. Tanning bulbs are not like light bulbs - it'll cost you a thousand dollars or more to replace them.

I know tanning is expensive, particularly in the U.S. But bear in mind, you really shouldn't need to go tanning more than once a week to maintain a tan.

Well it is nice to see you know ALL about skin cancer, NOT! Since I would never use a tanning bed, I have had cancer, I would never buy one. If you decide the truth that you do NOT know dick about cancer let me know and I will ecplain it to you.
