My husband s tooth is cracked?

He got his molars removed and ever since there s been a crack in his tooth. Now pieces of the tooth are falling off and black. He s in the military and can t go to the dentist until Thursday. Is there a way he can preserve the tooth until then?

No, it's already infected and full of cavities. Depending on how badly it is broken he may need to have a root canal/crown. Just be sure he doesn't chew on the side.

Have him eat a soft diet to reduce the risk of a fracture that damages the root. If that occurred, it would have to be extracted.

    Put a bandaid on it
