How to make a room smell less?
My sister is keeping 2 bunnies in her room. She puts pine bedding and paper in their litter box, sprinkling baking soda under it, and has a cardboard mat over the carpet.
What else can she do or should she change to make the smell less atrocious for our parents?

Hey there! Consider using a different (more absorbent) bedding, such as carefresh! Find a product similar to "NeemPet Herbal Pet Powder", it's safe for all small pets and smells kind of like talcum powder. The smell is refreshing too! Just sprinkle it on the bedding/in the cage, and it will prevent odours as well as skin infections and mites.
NEVER EVER EVER wash a bunny! This can actually kill bunnies in a matter of seconds, no matter how gentle it is! If your bun is dirty, get a slightly damp cloth and hand-clean the dirty patch, using a dry cloth to dry it off.
Make sure there is frequent air circulation, and you might want to consider getting an air purifier, there are some really cheap ones that you can find. Just don't put them directly next to the bun cages, otherwise you'll cause too much air to be forced onto the bunny.

I have 2 dwarf hamsters and they sometimes stink but these are some tips I use
1. Buy odor resistant bedding
2.clean out their cage at least 2 every week or when it smells bad
3.wash the bunnies you can wash them but very gently and don't get water in their ears or eyes
4.i have a steam diffuser that is all natural and I put essential oils and it makes my room snell amazing and pet friendly
Hope these work!

Stop using pine. Its not safe. It has phenols which damage the liver and respiratory tract. Plus its not very good with odors. Try hardwood stove pellets. Safe, cheap, really absorbent and great with odors.
Clean the litter pan more often. A smell means your not cleaning the litter pan often enough.

Febreeze helps, don't spray it on the bunny or on anything that the bunny will touch (and possibly eat).
