Question about Windows 7.?

I have a Lot of "Crashes" AND "Unexpected Shutdowns", with Windows 7. I never did with Windows XP. Anyone know why this is?

Update:

Happening for Months and Months. Nothing brings them on, that I am aware of.

    Do you need windows???

If not....this may be a good time to try Linux Mint, or Ubuntu. I tried it back in 2008....still using Ubuntu. No windows issues at all. In fact- the only issue I have had with Linux is deciding which one I like best.

Is it pirated windows? If so, that's why

If it's genuine Windows 7, have you installed all of your updates? If not, you need to as that's what they are for in part - to fix software glitches, i.e.

If neither applies to you, then your computer would appear to have some hardware incompatibility issues with Win 7.

It could be various reasons either software, such as malware, viruses , corrupt drivers, out of date software, or hardware related such as faulty hard drive , faulty RAM, overheating etc.

Update your question with a few more specifics such as how long has it been going on, does anything bring on the crash?, otherwise take it to be tested in a workshop

Incorrect drivers. Not enough memory. Not enough hard drive free space. Running incompatible programs. Bad configuration. Overheating. Failing hard drive. Failing motherboard. Failing RAM. Failing cpu.
