I swerved my car today while on the highway. Help please.?
Almost missed a turn, hit the brakes a little bit and turned it was rainy so I swerved. Now my car won't go over 35 and it overheats after 5 minutes. Of driving with a overly loud engine. What could be wrong with it?

what kind of car do you have? seems like its suck in "limp home mode" due to transmission damage. it will usually stay in first or second gear and wont shift from it, and the overheating could be from driving with the engine doing 4000+ rpm the whole time. can you tell if its shifting at all? and your sure you are in drive instead of 1 or 2 on your gear selector?
