There are exchange kiosks in many airports, but the rate isn't good. Most people use their debit card to get local cash from an ATM at a bank, if you know the local language. Some ATMs you can choose a language before you begin.

I just withdraw money in the local currency directly from an ATM when I arrive. If I wasnt to have some cash before I go, I go to a branch of my bank that has a currency exchange a few days before the trip.

International airports will have currency exchange kiosks. A better option would be to go to a bank or currency exchange agency in your country before you leave for your trip

Make sure your debit and credit cards are Visa or Mastercard. Use the debit card to withdraw cash from ATMs and use the credit card for large purchases such as hotel rooms, flights or long-distance trains.
Most international airports accept major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, and Euros. If you have any of these currencies with you they can be used to make purchases at the airport, but the change will be given in local currency - or just use one of your cards.
