Dog Trying to Bite My Nose?
My dog (Rottweiler beagle mix) who's about 4 years old, has always tried to bite my nose. I look relatively similar to my mom, but he knows the difference between us both, and he doesn't try to bite her. Today he actually nipped me. He didn't get my nose. One of his teeth got above my lip. how do I prevent this from happening again??
Sorry guys who already answered! I said he bit my face. He kinda nipped it. It wasn't really hard. He is the sweetest dog and is so affectionate. He's no hooligan.

Your dog obviously respects your mom more than you, seeing her as his pack leader. You aren't being firm enough, or consistent enough with him. Next time he tries it, bellow 'no', extend your arm and show him the palm of your upright hand. Then ignore him totally. Don't even bother with the 'bad boy' routine. Keep some kibble or small tasty treats close by, and when he begins to obey your command, reward him with a titbit. It may take a little bit of time, and it depends on your doing this every single time, but, if you do, he will get it in time.

Well, why do you allow this poor behavior and not bother to correct it? It will only get worse.
Seek professional help for yourself on how to train a dog properly before it injures someone, you're sued and the innocent dog is euthanized.

You dont say how old you are, but your Mum needs to step in now and sort out this hooligan.
The person being bullied by the dog cannot be the one to fix it, as the dog wont listen to them or respect them. It takes a team effort from both of you.
Please see a trainer and dont mess about with this. Dont write it off as a one off, or an accident. He is biting your face and it has to be dealt with.

Stop putting you face in the dogs face. when it bites you since you refuse to stop tormenting the dog it will be your fault and you parents will have the dog destroyed since its now a bitter due to you
