I feel like I need a guys opinion on this Guys would you want a girl to Just tell you she likes you even if it could end your friendship?

So I'm friends with this guy and for a while now I've been dropping hints to him you know flirty and stuff because I like him but he isn't getting it is it cause he's a guy and is being stubborn and won't take initiative or is it just cause he doesn't care... I don't understand why I really do like him we've only known each other for a year and have only hung out a few times so it's not like we're best friends any advice on what to do or say should I say that I like him I know it might ruin the friendship but I just don't know what to do anymore please help!!
