Don't Canaries Chirp as much in the Winter?

My Female Canary used to Chirp and Sing all day, before her Molt. Now, she is quiet often. Is this normal?

Update:

She quit Molting two months ago.

Birds don't want to call attention to themselves when they are molting, so they don't sing or chirp. It may take a while after the molt for her to start chirping again. Today is a snowy day here, and my male canary is watching the snow outside, and not making a sound.
