Is it normal to play with toys at my age?

I'm 16 years old, going on to 17 in a couple months and while other people my age are going to parties and making out, I play with toys on the regular. I like collecting yugioh cards, airsoft guns, and toy soldiers that I paint for dioramas. I also indulge in the occasional Gundam and other model building kits. I'm also trying to find a girlfriend but I don't know if it will be a big turn off for them if they found out what I do in my free time.

It's not normal because there is no such thing as normal everyone is unique and different there is absolutely nothing wrong with playing with toys I'm 22 I have 15 beanie buddies in my closet. Plus a bunch of toys I've won from crane games or bought from good will and tag sales I have a few funkos if you like doing it then it's fine it makes you happy it's good to be young at heart so long as you still act mature. Don't let anyone tell you that it's not ok to play with toys if you go to conventions you'll find people who are just like you. Adults and teens buying toys and models I hope this helps you.

I collect action figures and collectible statues but all of my friends aren't into it. Not to mention my family aren't supportive as they see it as "playing with toys". My mom is typically okay with it - but the only thing she has a problem with is that at least 95% of my collection are of female characters (e.g. I have a bust of Asuka Langley that I got from a friend, a few Touhou Project figures, and a BRS statue I got for Christmas years ago). Truth be said, I don't think of them that way, and I'm just VERY specific and picky with what figures I get - they have to look good and the quality has to be good. Also, I'm not necessarily going out of my way to do so, but I tend to end up finding stuff that isn't from mainstream media (Although I might try to collect a few Gundam, Captain America, and Iron Man figures though sometime soon, and I don't care much for DBZ, Naruto or One Piece figures)

On the side, I liked playing with Lego when I was younger and I still do - but I just don't have enough time and money to buy them to play around and build stuff anymore.

I think no madder how old you are you should always be able to play with toys! Plus do you know they have Adult Toys! They have Family Guy toys, Call of Duty toys, TED (Adult Inappropriate Stuff Bear) bobble heads, All kinds of Adult toys! So in conclusion you should always be able to play with toys!

There is no bar of age to play with toys. I do play with toys and feel that kid inside you never dies. Playing with toys keeps your mind creative too.

My hubby recently retired and has now returned to the hobby of making models and dioramas. He also takes painting classes and sometimes performs in community theatre.

I'm so happy for him that he has these creative outlets, but so sad for all the years he spent doing a job he didn't love, that didn't use his talents and interests.

Maybe you can parlay your talents and interests into a joyful career? Follow your bliss and the money will follow. (Dioramas and displays for museums? An on-line or brick'n'mortar hobby store? Hmmm)

As for a girlfriend, the right girl will admire and respect your expertise in whatever is your chosen field.

It's perfectly fine. Take the youtuber Chuggaaconroy for example. He has a lot of amiibos other figurines even pokemon trading cards. My brother collected yu-gi oh cards until he was 14. I'm 16 too and I like to collect pokemon cards as well. As for a girlfriend don't sweat it too much. They should accept you the way you are. If they can't then maybe they just weren't for you.

I'm 35 and still do. Do whatever makes you happy. And girls like playing with toys too. Just ask my wife of 10 years.

I am 13 years old and even though I deny it to my family and friends, I still play with some of my old toys that are crammed under my bed sometimes. And Legos will ALWAYS be fun to play with.

Does it take away the stress of everyday life? I still collect soft toys and stuff because it reminds me of a less stressful time (childhood) and I am 18.
