Peyton Manning. Sure Manning plays for a very very great Denver Bronco, team and Kobe plays for a very pathetic, sorry, almost unwatchable Laker team. However, Kobe plays a less dangerous sport as 3-Peat mentioned, and Kobe doesn't hurt his team. I don't know if Peyton Manning is the best QB on the Broncos, but Kobe is definitely the best player on the Lakers even though he can't get to the rim anymore, like everyone else on his team, and he can't hit a shot for his life, at least Kobe can create an open look and get defenders to bite on pump fakes and things of that nature. Kobe's also the best passer, and maybe the best defensive guard still for LA. The argument you could make for Manning is that his team actually can win with or without him, while Kobe's team will lose with or without him. And Manning could probably use a super bowl to his resume more than Kobe needs another title to his resume.

Peyton. Peyton plays a sport where playing much longer could have serious effects on his later quality of life.
Both players are bad at this point, but I still want to see Kobe play, and plan on it when they come to town. Watching Peyton is just sad, because what he is doing is causing severe physical pain for himself.

Manning at least understands his range of talents. Kobe is still playing like it's 2005.
