Why don't we celebrate Armed Forces Day? Is it because it's a couple of days before Memorial Day?
After all, it is the one day, the third Saturday of May, that's set aside to honor active duty servicemen and service women, leaving Memorial Day to be the day we honor those who gave their lives in service, and Veterans' Day to being the day we honor our military retirees.

Because of Veterans Day they also thank active service members which is why people get free food at so many places of there active duty or retired
