Science question, please help! About water and temperature!?
Here is the question: if you leave the water mixture in a glass beaker for 24 hours with a temp of 20 degrees Celsius what will happen? What general feature of energy transfer does this illustrate?
The water mix was 100 ml of hot water at 50 degrees Celsius poured into 200 ml of cold water at 10 degrees Celsius

Overtime the heat energy would be equalled to surroundings. In this case H(system)=H(surrounding)
If the water was 20 degrees celsius and the room temperature was 25 degrees celsius than the system which is the glass beaker would gain heat from the surrounding so they equal.
This is the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
