    Let (0, y) be the point on the y-axis

    Then

    ( 5 - 0 )^2 + (-5 - y)^2 = ( 1 - 0)^2 + ( 1 - y)^2

    25 + 25 + 10y + y^2 = 1 + 1 - 2y + y^2

    50 + 10y + y^2 = 2 - 2y + y^2

    50 + 10y = 2 - 2y

    12y = - 48

    y = - 4

    That is the correct answer

    Distance between (0 -4) and (5, -5) is 5.1

    Distance between (0, - 4) and (1, 1) is 5.1
