Help me, please! I want to stop masturbating but I always fail? I'm tired of always failing God like this? :(?
Hi!
Okay so I'm a 17 year old girl and I started when I was like 10-14 years old (I forgot the exact age).
I want to stop though. Ever since I started to discover God, I've been struggling with this so much. There have been times when I stopped but then I always do it again.
I hate that I'm doing this. I pray to God but I always end up doing it again. Sometimes I can hear Him telling me to stop but I always end up disoebying him. I repent then do it again. In which case, am I even really repenting b/c repentence means to turn your back from it and I haven't been able to.
I need help. I want to stop but I can't. At thsi point, it doesn't even feel good anymoe it just feel like emotions and guilt.
Please please please please please help me. I feel so trapped by this. :(
Okay, to all those who answered thank you. But if you're only here to tell me that God isn't real and that Christianity is bad, please just don't answer. :(
I mean I'll respect your beliefs or your non-beliefs, but I just ask you to respect mine as well. Christianity is important to me, it's extremely important for me. Without it I would literally be dead b/c I was suicidal (still kind of am) and my faith stopped me from killing myself.
So, please respect that and please respect my question.

Call and talk with the licensed counselors at 1-800-488-HOPE http://www.hopefortheheart.org/ Also, read "For Couples Only", by Shaunti Feldhahn; you might also like "The Great Divorce" by C. S. Lewis. It may be that you're depressed for some reason, and masturbation a) changes your tension b) a temporary respite from your depression-tension and c) is addictive pleasure incentive. Talk with the counselor; she's heard it all.

There are steps you can take to actually build a strong, stable marriage and avoid divorce. Read here https://tr.im/NojIi
Here are some key steps to apply to your marriage:
- Start by understanding and being informed.
You can never be too informed about tools, methods and studies about building successful marriages. Understand the risk factors like your age and maturity at marriage can determine how successful it will be, the anatomy of an affair and what you can do after infidelity. Understand the success factors like the personal and psychological circumstances that will influence your marriage, what are the tools and approaches available to you in dealing with conflict, and numerous other relevant data. All this information is readily available to you whether through self-help material, through a counselor, support group or other venues. In fact, we have made it our commitment to provide these to you in different formats to help you make the best marriage you can.
The thing is, remember, this is information is not available for you to begin hyper-psychoanalyzing your relationship, yourself and your partner. It's not a matter of spewing trivia for the sake of conversation ' information is there for you to ponder over and internalize to help you transform yourself and your marriage. That includes maturing to such a point that you become more competent in your knowledge but more prudent in approach.

God wouldn't have made orgasms so amazing if he didn't want us to have them. Ergo, masturbate away. It's healthy, it's a great way to relax and de-stress, and it'll help you figure out what you like when you have sex.
If you stop beating yourself up about how you're "betraying God", obviously you're going to feel like crap when you masturbate. So don't feel bad about it. It's a natural thing (other species masturbate too!), so why not just enjoy it? There's nothing sinful about it, it's not dangerous, and it's fun. Why not have fun?!

You're not "failing God" by doing that. You're failing God by obsessing over that when you could be out there feeding the poor, protecting the rights of the downtrodden, and stuff like that.

The fact of the matter, the only way you will truly will repent is of God Jesus Christ saves you, and I mean if God Jesus Christ saves you nothing else, as it is written by grace ye are saved. Also it is written No man comes to the father but through the son Jesus Christ, he did all the work before the foundation of the world, that is why he is called the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. No works that we do will ever get us saved only the works of God Jesus Christ only. because we are dead in trespass and sin. and if we are dead then are works are dead works and that is why we need a saviour to save us from the wrath of God.

Masturbating is normal, don't let a fear based religion ruin your life.

i don't know why you allow old single ugly bigoted uneducated men who can't stop thinking about your private sex life (of a 17 year old girl) to dominate your views on sex.
you need a genocidal fairy to not commit suicide?
i was suicidal too because of all the apples chuckings i received in high school, but i didn't need genocidal fairies to convince myself not to.
