I was arrested for having loose xanax in my pocket, but I've been prescribed for yrs. if i bring proof to court can i still be charged?

    You don't go to court until AFTER you are charged. The court does not decide to charge you or not. But, if you bring proof, there is a good chance that your case may be dismissed.

    If you bring your prescription and the pills so they can examine them then they will let your case go. They can't charge you for having illegal pills if you don't have illegal pills.

    If you get to court, plea not guilty and ask for a lawyer. Even though this is a simple, let the court get you a lawyer and don't try to do it yourself.

    If you have a prescription the charges should get dropped

    if you have the prescription you should be okay, you know you must carry the drugs in the prescription bottle.
