Should spanish speaking immigrants have to eventually learn english?

I used to be a lot more liberal on this matter, but now I work as a pizza delivery driver for this small pizzeria, and the owner/manger of the place only speaks spanish. This guy has owned the business here for 16 years, but somehow decided never to learn to speak the language, usually if I want to talk to him, I have to ask through his wife, or one of the few coworkers who also speak spanish, should he learn english after being an American business owner for nearly 2 decades?

English is a very hard language to learn. He's busy running a business. You can't expect everyone to cater to you. Maybe he speaks some English but can't understand your accent. People are always so obsessed with the idea that America is a "free" country and then go around and say everyone should have to learn English. You act like you own the country or are somehow more entitled to a say here just because you were born here, it belongs to everyone in the community equally. Frankly, we just all need to start learning spanish because it's the second most common language in the country and its more of an inconvenience on our part not to know it.

I mean it'd probably make his life a hell of a lot easier but hey if he doesn't want to then he shouldn't have to.
