My friends haven't contacted me back?
It's the Christmas break and we all are uni students. I texted them 2 weeks ago only to never hear anything back. I texted them last week and still never heard back. Tried calling and it's the same. I'm getting little concerned. They don't usually ignore me like this. I just stopped reaching to them hoping they would get back to me so we can do hang out since it's the break. Perhaps they went on holiday but they would usually tell me if they were going away. Is there any other explanation or they just ignoring me?

Nobody here can really speak for them. Possibilities are that they are ignoring you, or maybe their phone numbers changed. Maybe their phones are just not available. Maybe something is going on within family. It's really hard to say. Maybe by phone is not the best method anymore. Try email and facebook and just ask him is everything okay, that you tried contacting them a couple of times and haven't heard back. If they still don't respond, then you have your answer, you're jerks.
