Why are the most current questions in Yahoo Answers two weeks old in many categories?

Question pretty much is self explanatory. For the past week or so, I haven t found any current questions to answer in the categories where I have answered many relevant questions over the years. Even the trolls seem to have taken a break for the holidays!

There are on going glitches and bugs in all categories, with the Yahoo! Answers team no where to be found....

Like it or not, volume of traffic DOES NOT equate to profit. Y!A just isn't a profit maker. Don't expect a quick fix, or any fix at all. This may well be Yahoo's way of playing "Taps" for Answers. We have to wait and see what shakes out.

Thanx. I started perusing the "Answer Questions" heading on the right of the page and saw other similar type questions there. Doesn't surprise me as Yahoo has been notorious for screwing up the simple things when they do anything to "make the site better"! They really do need to hire some real programmers! even some high school wanna be programming students could probably do better.

There are actually a lot of new questions that have been posted for this time period, but there is a widespread glitch that has been on the site for more than a week. This glitch makes it so that newer questions are only visible for a few minutes to hours (I have seen a few survive for something like 14 hours though) before they are hidden behind questions from before the glitch started.

Sadly it is all down to a major glitch on this site since the double points were put into effect.  There has not been any word of when the glitch will be cleared so we just have to grin and bear it again.

Of all places, saw on one of the finance channels yesterday that YAnswers in on the hitlist of money-losers that are likely to be axed in 2016, whether or not Yahoo itself is bought-out.  So right now, Yahoo isn't too worried about keeping a large base of Answers users, doesn't want to spend much money on it and has diverted resources to more "core" services.
